Introducing the Contender Competition – New for Season 2025!

Designed specifically for newer coaches, the Contender Competition lets you compete for prizes at your own pace, without the pressure of facing seasoned veterans. Coaches already participating in the Challenger or Champion Competitions are not eligible to enter, creating a level playing field for newcomers to learn, earn, and grow.

But don’t be fooled—there’s still plenty of strategy involved. With a strict $10 million salary cap, how will you build your team? Will you splash out on a Gold player, or spread your budget across a squad of Bronze and Silver talent? The choice is yours, and the possibilities are endless.

Critical information

Start date: Round 14 - 12th of June 2025 (Aussie Rules) - Round 15 - 12th of June 2025 (Rugby League) Card Rarity Restriction: Bronze, Silver, and Gold card permitted Entry Restriction: Coaches competing in the Challenger and/or Champion Competition(s) will not be able to also compete in the Contender Competition.
