# Inactive Players

In GameDay Squad Fantasy Sports, inactive players refer to those athletes who are not currently participating in their respective sports due to various reasons. These reasons can include:

* Delistings 
* Retirements 
* Free Agency
* Moving to another league

In the context of fantasy sports, it is crucial to monitor the status of players to ensure that your fantasy team is optimised with active players who will participate in upcoming games, thereby maximising your chances of scoring points.

Coaches will be able to tell if a player is currently inactive by the player cards artwork (shown below). The GameDay Squad logo artwork indicates that the player is currently in inactive status.

It is important to note that inactive players under no circumstance score points. Even if a player is playing, but not yet active on the GameDay Squad fantasy sports platform. All inactive players score ZERO points.
