# Swapping After Lockout

In the rare event of an issue with the round lockout, it is important to note that any player involved in a match that has already started, who is swapped in or out of a squad, will automatically score 0 points for the round.

This is to stop coaches taking advantage of any lockout exploits and to keep the game as fair as possible for all users. This rule applies even if the automatic lockout is not active at the time.

Football runs a fixed lockout, so the entire squad locks at the kick off of the first match of the round. Any swap made after that point falls under this rule, regardless of when the player in question is scheduled to play.
