# How the Salary Cap Works

GameDay Squad runs a salary cap system unlike any other fantasy platform. Your salary cap hit is determined entirely by the **rarity** of the card you own, never by how well that player is performing.

That means a player having a career season does not get more expensive. If you packed him as a Bronze, he costs you a Bronze salary all year.

| Card Type | Salary Hit | Player Score Multiplier |
| --------------------- | :--------: | :---------------------: |
| Bronze | 500,000 | 1.0 |
| Silver | 600,000 | 1.1 |
| Gold | 700,000 | 1.2 |
| Platinum | 800,000 | 1.3 |
| Diamond | 900,000 | 1.4 |
| Old Season Legend | 950,000 | 1.45 |
| Current Season Legend | 1,000,000 | 1.5 |
| Prize Card | 600,000 | 1.4 |
| All Star Card | 700,000 | 1.35 |

Only your 15 scoring players, the 11 on your Field and the 4 on your Bench, count towards your salary cap. **Emergency selections do not count towards your salary cap**, so you can name the best emergency your competition's rarity limit allows without it costing you a cent of cap space.

Your combined squad salary determines which competitions you are eligible to enter. A squad that lands exactly on a competition's cap still qualifies for that competition.
