# How the Salary Cap Works

GameDay Squad's unique salary cap system!

GameDay Squad runs a salary cap system unlike any other fantasy platform. Your salary cap hit is determined entirely by the **rarity** of the card you own, never by how well that player is performing.

That means a player having a career season does not get more expensive. If you packed him as a Bronze, he costs you a Bronze salary all year.

| Card Type | Salary Hit | Player Score Multiplier |
| ------------- | :--------: | :---------------------: |
| Bronze | 500,000 | 1.0 |
| Silver | 600,000 | 1.1 |
| Gold | 700,000 | 1.2 |
| Platinum | 800,000 | 1.3 |
| Diamond | 900,000 | 1.4 |
| Legend | 1,000,000 | 1.5 |
| All Star Card | 700,000 | 1.35 |
| Prize Card | 700,000 | 1.40 |

The sum of the salary hits of all 18 Player Cards on your Field will total your squad's salary cost.

Your combined squad salary determines which competitions you are eligible to enter. A squad that lands exactly on a competition's cap still qualifies for that competition.
