# Positions

Get in position!

**What are the positions?**

All players on the GameDay Squad platform for Gridiron are allocated 1 of 5 positions every season. These positions are:

* Quarterback - (QB)
* Running Back - (RB)
* Wide Receiver - (WR)
* Tight End - (TE)
* Kicker - (K)

**What are Superflex and Flex?**

Superflex and Flex are not player positions. They are slots on your field that accept more than one position:

* **Superflex** accepts a Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver or Tight End
* **Flex** accepts a Running Back, Wide Receiver or Tight End

Your player cards still carry one position each. The flexible slots only change where you are allowed to play them.

**How positions are determined**

Player positions are reviewed annually by the GameDay Squad team ahead of each season.

**Do positions change through the season?**

No. A player may change position for their team during the year, but the position allocated to their Player Card will not change for the remainder of that season. Player positions are reviewed annually by the GameDay Squad team and Player Cards are updated before the start of the following season.

**How can I check what position a player is?**

Coaches can see a player's position from the icon on the front of the Player Card, as well as by flipping over to the back of the card.
