# Scoring

Coaches will score GameDay Squad fantasy points each round based upon the real-life performance of the players on their [Field](broken://pages/FzlJimELXnlVbxZItLFb), multiplied by their associated [Player Score Multiplier. ](/gameday-squad/platform-features/player-cards/player-score-multiplier-psm.md)Points will be awarded or deducted based on the performance statistics of each [active player](broken://pages/FzlJimELXnlVbxZItLFb) according to the following criteria:

| ----------------- | ------ |
| Kicks             | 4      |
| Handball          | 2      |
| Mark              | 3      |
| Tackle            | 4      |
| Goal              | 8      |
| Behind            | 0      |
| Hit Out           | 1      |
| Free Kick For     | 2      |
| Free Kick Against | -2     |

* The [multiplier](/gameday-squad/platform-features/player-cards/player-score-multiplier-psm.md) a [Player Card](/gameday-squad/platform-features/player-cards.md) receives is dependant on the [rarity](/gameday-squad/platform-features/player-cards/rarity.md) of that card.
* The[ Player Score Multiplier](/gameday-squad/platform-features/player-cards/player-score-multiplier-psm.md) will be applied to a player's score after the game is complete.
* Once all GameDay Squad fantasy points have been calculated, a weekly total score will be assigned to each coach for the round.
* The winner of each [competition](broken://pages/lGR6iQbhsE3hFtACdPgX) is the Coach who scores the most amount of GameDay Squad fantasy points across the whole season.
* The [Leaderboard](broken://pages/Fsgq5MjRi1ne6g6CnRLi) is the place to go to find our how well you're doing compared to other coaches.
* It is important to note that inactive players do **NOT** score points; even if an inactive player has played in a round/game. Players become active when they are added to offical team playing lists, there may be some lag time to process the player from inactive to active status on the GameDay Squad platform.  
* If a player has recently changed teams and the change hasn't yet been reflected on the GameDay Squad platform, the player will score 0 points.
