We are excited to announce the following prizes for the 2024 GameDay Squad Women’s Aussie Rules season!

Summary

• After the success of our first season last year, we have seen an increase in cash prizes of the 2024 prize pool.

• With 2 brand new competitions in 2024 (Starter and Challenger) and the ability to enter in multiple competitions at the same time, theres now more chances for coaches to win every single round.

• To accomodate the new competitions, we have reshuffled the way prize cards will be awarded to our seasonal winners from top 10 seasonal winners down to top 5.

In the event of a tie in scoring the weekly prize pool will be split between the teams that drew for the prizes. For example: If there was a three-way tie for 1st, all 3 users would get the 1st (100 GDS Funds), 2nd (50 GDS Funds) and 3rd (25 GDS Funds) split equally between the three

Another example in the event of a tie for 2nd place: 1st would get 100 GDS Funds as normal, and the two coaches in 2nd and 3rd would share the 50+25 equally (Equating to 37.5 GDS Funds).

Seasonal Prize Cards

Prize cards will be back for the 2024 season however the introduction of the brand new starter and challenger competitions will see a change up to how they won.

20 Prize cards will remain up for grabs as they did in 2023 however they will now only be awarded for a seasonal top 5 finish across all 4 competitions. Not to worry, all stars will be returning in 2024 and will be awarded to coaches who finish 6th – 10th on the overall seasonal leaderboards.

There remains no restriction on the number of prize cards any 1 coach can win across all 4 competitions so we encourage all coaches to participate in as many competitions as they can.

In a GameDay Squad first, the order of how they will be awarded for coaches has also changed. The graphics below shows the full selection process which now see the prize favour a coaches overall finishing position, rather then the different tiers of competitions.

Finals Competition

In 2024/25 there will be no finals competition. This will be a feature we will look to add into future Basketball Seasons. The originally announced prize pool has been added to the weekly competition structure on 19th Aug 2024.

Prizes will be distributed on the Monday following the round ending. If an active round finishes ON a Monday, any earn't prizes will be distributed on the following Monday. If there are two rounds completing within a week, both rounds will pay out on the following Monday.
