What are the positions?

All players on the GameDay squad platform for Aussie Rules are allocated 1 of 4 positions every season. These positions are:

• Wicketkeeper - (WK)

• Batsman - (BAT)

• All Rounder - (ALL)

• Bowler - (BWL)

How positions are determined

Player positions are reviewed annually by the GameDay Squad team from data provided by StatsPerform (https://www.statsperform.com) to make decision on player positions for the upcoming season.

If our stats provider lists a player as dual position, GameDay Squad not having dual positions will have the final say in what position a player will be for the upcoming season.

How can I check what position a player is?

Coaches can see players position from the Icon on the player cards as well as flipping over to the back of the player card.

Do positions change through out the season?

No, player positions will never change after a season launch and stay the same for the entire season, even if that player’s actual position in real life changes during the year. The change to the players GDS position would occur in the following offseason.
