Learning About Our Competitions
How we have changed the Game
At GameDay Squad we are unique in that we have multiple competitions our coaches can compete in every single round. From tradition style competitions, to unique competitions that offer coaches a challenge they wont find on anywhere else, we have something for coaches of every level and experience.
2025/26's Competitions
Our competitions for the 2025/26 season are broken down into the following:
Standard: 5 - Starter, Contender, Classic, Challenger and Champion
Our traditional competitions that offer a level from our first time coachers to our long time users
Cup Competitions (Off Platform): 1 - The GDS Cup
Our off-platform cup competitions that use a coaches classic squad score to compete in a knockout style competitions
Eligibility
While every competition is free to enter, we have restrictions in place that limit coaches from being able to compete in more then 3 standard competitions during the same round. This ensures coaches at the beginning of their journey don't have to compete in competitions with coaches who have been playing during previous seasons.

About Our Competitions
Every competition on the platform has the following 4 elements that determine which cards you can play in them.
A Salary Cap
Card Restrictions
Special Card Limits
Special rules
These factors change the player card requirements used to compete in each of the different competitions.
The Salary Cap
Every competition with the exception of the Primetime competition (special competition) has a salary cap that coaches must adhere to when building their squad. The higher the salary cap limit, the higher the rarity of cards is required to compete in.
Card Restrictions
Every competition with the exception of the Primetime competition (special competition) has a restriction on which rarities of cards coaches are allowed to be play when building their squad. For example, the Contender competition aimed more for new coaches only allows Bronze, Silver and Gold cards. while the challenger competition aimed for more experienced coaches allows Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legend and Special cards.
Special Card limits
Competitions that allow special cards have a limit on the number of these special cards can be played in a given round. The special card limit is comprised of 2 parts:
The Overall Special Card Limit
And the Prize Card limit
For example the Classic competition has a special card limit of 2 but a prize card limit within that of 1. This means a coach can play 2 All star cards or 1 All star and 1 prize card BUT not play 2 prize cards.
