What are the positions?

All players are allocated 1 of 4 positions every season. These positions are:

• Wicket Keeper (WK)

• Batsman(BAT)

• All Rounder (ALL)

• Bowler (BWL)

How positions are determined

Player positions are reviewed annually by the GameDay Squad team from data provided by our stats provider to make decision on player positions for the upcoming season.

How can I check what position a player is?

Coaches can see players position from the icon on the player cards as well as flipping over to the back of the player card.

Do positions change through out the season?

No, player positions will never change after a season launch and stay the same for the entire season, even if that player’s actual position in real life changes during the year. The change to the players GDS position would occur in the following offseason. Does GameDay Squad have dual positions?

No, there are no dual positions on GameDay Squad meaning a player is only ever 1 position.
