How to enter
The QLD vs NSW competition is free to enter for everyone! Coaches can submit a squad in the "Competitions" tab on the GameDay Squad Rugby League competition page using their existing GDS Rugby League player cards.
Scoring
The QLD vs NSW competition will use the same scoring used in the GameDay Squad Rugby League competition.
Squad Management and Rules
Salary Cap: 11mil
Rarities Allowed: Bronze, Silver Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Legends and QLD vs NSW Cards
Special Card Limit: None
Special Rules: All on field Hooker, Midforward and Edge forward positions become Forward positions and Centres, Wingers and Fullback positions become Back positions + QLD vs NSW multiplier increase from its standard 1.2x multiplier to 1.4x
Restrictions: None
QLD Vs NSW Special Player Cards
To complement the 2026 QLD vs NSW competition, GameDay Squad release special edition QLD and NSW player cards to our Rugby League game through special packs.
Details of player cards
10 cards per player listed in a 2026 QLD vs NSW Squad
Available to be used in the regular classic and Champion competitions with at 1.2x multiplier and a 600k salary cap hit (equivalent to a standard Gold card)
For the 2026 QLD vs NSW competitions, these cards will "upgrade" to a 1.4x multiplier but still with a 600K salary cap hit.
Cards will be able to be bought and sold as well as traded on the GameDay Squad Transfer Market.
Special Rules
The QLD vs NSW competition will feature some exciting exclusive rules not found in any other competition on the platform. The on field positions are being changed to allowed the game to remain flexible and ensure coaches can field squads more similar to those we see rolled out on the field.
These changes are:
The Hooker, Mid-forward and Edge forwards positions will allow all forwards (HOK, MID and EDG) to be selected on field.
The Winger, Centre and Full Back positions will allow all backs (WNG, CTR and FB) to be selected on field.
This means the make up of the full positions will be 8 forwards, 3 halves and 7 backs.
