Apple Payments

Apple pay is a popular method of payment across the GDS platform and is accepted on all iPhone and Ipads. Because of how apple will do their billing, it has occurred on a few occasions where it may appear that a user has been incorrectly charged OR double charged for a GDS purchase. We want to start by stating GameDay Squad has never incorrectly taken funds from any user through Apple Pay. In the event this was to ever occur, we would the whole amount.
Below we will explain why this occurs, how you can check with apple + next steps If you are still not satisfied.
Why It appears to occur
1. Grouping with other payments Apple will sometimes group GDS transactions with other purchases or subscriptions you have linked with your apple pay. Looking at the bank statement, we can see that sometimes transactions are a) grouped by apple with Non-GDS related transactions as well as B) Settle on different dates to the issued Apple Tax invoice
2. Delayed billing
Using the bank statement and the apple invoice from the above transaction, it would appear that the transaction took place on the 12th or 13th of December when in fact the transaction took place on the GDS app on the 7th of December as can be seen in a user's GDS Purchase History.
As a result of this delayed billing, it may appear as if an authorised transaction has occurred OR that a payment has been double billed.
How you can check with Apple If you are unsure of an apple pay related transaction, you will need to view your apple account and obtain the information. This is because of 2 reasons, 1) we are unable to request this information for any user on behalf of apple and 2) this is the only way we can provide the information that we can use to investigate any potential differences or disputes.
The below screenshots show the steps a user must follow to see their apple purchase history:
Escalations and Disputes
If a user is still not satisfied with the outcome, they must contact Apple directly to a) raise a dispute or b) obtain detailed information regarding their full purchase history of GameDay Squad.
GameDay Squad keep a record of all Apple pay purchases, including the unique Apple purchase IDs supplied directly by Apple for every authorised payment. This is what GDS will use to confirm all payments have been directly authorised by the user through Apple Pay.
Users will need to sign into Apple to follow the process of reporting an unauthorised transaction. If they are still not satisfied with what is being displayed by Apple, we understand you can request a full detailed breakdown from them of your purchase history which includes all unique purchase IDs.

It is very important to note: without that full requested Apple report AND you supporting bank statements, we are unable to properly reconcile and identify any duplicate or unauthorised payments and therefore unable to help.
A detailed purchase history (including unique Apple purchase IDs) can be supplied by GDS to any user who requests it; however, parts of the report are only issued by apple every quarter (3 months) so there may be a delay in obtaining the full requested information. This is NOT a GDS issue.
