Prize cards! These player cards enter the GameDay Squad platform through being awarded to coaches who finished in the top 5 of each competition. These cards have a $600k salary cap hit with a 1.4x multiplier. Coaches who finish in the top 5 will choose the player they want as their prize card. Only one player is allowed to be select per season. Players are selected and determined starting with the winner of the Champion competition all the way to the coach who finished 15th in the Starter competition. Once a player is selected, that player will no longer be able to be selected until the following season's Prize Card selection process. For example, if Matthew Short is selected by the coach who finished first in the Champion competition, no other user who finished top 5 in any competition will be able to select Matthew Short. GameDay Squad will be in contact with users who are selecting a prize card for all competitions at the completion of each GameDay Squad AUS Cricket season. It's important to note that prize cards can be bought, sold and traded on the GameDay Squad Transfer Market, however the artwork will never change, the winners team name, position on the ladder and season won will always be visible on the prize card.
Prize Cards will be subject to position changes if applicable. GameDay Squad reviews positions annually and subsequent changes will be made if the player is deemed to have warranted a position change for the previous season.
2025 Rules: A maximum of 1 prize card will be awarded per coach across the entire AUS cricket season. For example, if a coach wins both the Starter and the Champion competition, they will be awarded a Champion Competition prize card, but will not be rewarded a Starter Competition prize card. Coaches who win multiple prize cards will be allocated the HIGHEST prize card selection. Coaches who win multiple prize cards will receive $100 in GameDay Squad player packs for every top 5 finish for which they are not eligible to earn an additional prize card. It is important to note that all 20 prize cards will still be rewarded. For example, if a coach wins in both the Starter and the Champion competition, 6th place in in the Champion Competition will then be rewarded a prize card. This is applicable across all competitions.
Selection process: Prize cards are making their way to AUS Cricket in the 2024/25 season. For veteran coaches who compete in multiple sports, it's worth noting that with the introduction of the brand new starter and challenger competitions will see a change up to how they won! The graphic below shows the full selection process which now see the prize favour a coaches overall finishing position, rather than the different tiers of competitions.
