Completing your account Know Your Customer (KYC) verification
What is KYC Verification?
KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is a process where users are required to verify their identity by providing government-issued identification and documents.
Why are we implementing KYC Verification?
To enhance the security of our platform and ensure a fair and compliant environment for all users, we are introducing KYC verification. This process will help us:
Prevent fraudulent activities
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Protect our community by verifying the identities of our users.
What information will be required?
As part of the KYC process, you will be asked to provide:
Government-issued identification (e.g., passport, driver's license)
Contact details
All information provided will be handled by a 3rd party provider - Sumsub (https://sumsub.com/)
Is there a cost to be complete the KYC Verification??
Yes. Users will be charged a 1 time fee of 2.5 GDS points in order to complete the KYC verification. This must be deducted from the balance of their exisiting GDS wallet.
How will this affect you?
Users will be prompted to complete KYC verification before making a withdrawal request within the platform. In the future GameDay Squad may require user to be verified before they are able to access certain features within the game or claim GDS points won as prizes from competitions.
When will this take effect?
The KYC verification process will be starting from 21st August 2024.
How to Complete the KYC Process?
Log in to your GDS account on your desktop, this is not currently available within the GDS App
Navigate to the Profile section and select "Verification".
Follow the prompts to upload the required documents and submit your information.
Our team will review your submission, and if successful you account will display as verified within the platform.
