Scoring

Goals are worth more!

Coaches will score GameDay Squad fantasy points each round based upon the real-life performance of the players on their Field, multiplied by their associated Player Score Multiplier. Points will be awarded or deducted based on the performance statistics of each active player according to the following criteria: Multi-Positional Stats:

In GameDay Squad, each position on the field, such as goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward has its own unique scoring model. This means that the same action (like scoring a goal or making a tackle) will earn different points depending on the position of the player performing it. For example, a goal scored by a goalkeeper is worth more than a goal scored by a forward, since it's a rarer and more impactful event for that position. This system ensures that all positions have meaningful ways to contribute to your fantasy team's success.

Additional scoring details:

  • The multiplier a Player Card receives is dependant on the rarity of that card

  • The Player Score Multiplier will be applied to a player's score after the game is complete

  • Players in a team's Reserves will not score points

  • Once all GameDay Squad fantasy points have been calculated, a round total score will be assigned to each coach for the round

  • The winner of each competition is the Coach who scores the most amount of GameDay Squad fantasy points across the whole season

  • The Leaderboard is the place to go to find our how well you're doing compared to other coaches

  • It is important to note that inactive players do NOT score points; even if an inactive player has played in a round/game. Players become active when they are added to offical team playing lists, there may be some lag time to process the player from inactive to active status on the GameDay Squad platform.

  • If a player has recently changed teams and the change hasn't yet been reflected on the GameDay Squad platform, the player will score 0 points.

  • If a fixture is postponed for any reason and a team ends up playing two matches within the same round, only the highest individual player score from those two games will count towards your total team score.
